The idea
Why a Bulgarian company sells on a German marketplace
Bulgaria grows roughly a third of the world's Damask rose oil and a meaningful share of its lavender — not as a trading intermediary, but as the actual place where the flower is harvested and the oil is distilled. That is a rare thing in e-commerce: a product story that is true, not marketed.
Most sellers on Amazon.de source generically and compete on price. Fortelo does the opposite. We start from what Bulgaria genuinely produces better than almost anywhere else, then build a compliant, well-positioned brand around it for German, Austrian, and Swiss households.
Rosa Damaskena, our flagship line, is the first expression of that approach — followed, deliberately and one category at a time, by other goods where Bulgarian origin is a real advantage rather than a marketing claim.
